Turn ons and Turnoffs.
Turn-On’s & Turn-Off’s

Things that make me happy in the pants…

  1. Quirky - Normal is boring. The more there is that’s interesting and unique about you, the more I like you.
  2. Funny - They say alcohol is the social lubricant, but really humor is. Alcohol just makes anything seem funny. No one can ever have a decent conversation if they don’t have a good sense of humor.
  3. Nerdy - I guess this can kind of go with quirkiness, but I like people who can embrace their inner nerd.
  4. Open minded - Never judge. It’s just not cool. Being adventurous and doing new things is fun, not scary.
  5. Smart - Maybe not someone who can overwhelm me with their genius, but at least someone who can understand what I’m saying.
  6. Laid back - Seriously, nothing’s that big of a deal. If you stress, I stress, and I don’t want that. Just go with the flow and chill a little.
  7. Caring - I need someone who can be caring and nurturing when I’m feeling down. Just being there means a lot.
  8. Fun loving - I’m a pretty laid back person who’s happy to spend many a night hanging out at home, but I still want someone who’s always up for just going out and doing something fun whenever I am.
  9. Responsible - Fun is cool, but when it gets to the point that it’s all you ever do, it’s too much. I don’t want someone who’s going to spend all my money or who is going to waste my time dragging me from one drunken party to the next.
  10. Passionate - Having interests makes you interesting. Having hobbies you can talk about, no matter how lame you think they might be, is always cool.

Things that make me cringe in horror…

  1. Bitchy - Don’t complain or chew me out or snap at me for little things. Nothing’s that big of a deal. Belittling people or making them feel bad is not fun. It’s not a good way to get your way. Don’t be spiteful or vengeful towards me or anyone else.
  2. Arrogant - No one’s that great. Nothing’s ever only the result of only one person. Most of the good things that happen are a team project, and same goes for the bad. Don’t be quick to take credit or to dole out blame. Don’t be judgemental, nothing you do is that great and there’s not much anyone else can be doing to make them that bad. You’re not that brilliant, and there’s no need to flaunt it.
  3. Obsessed with any one thing - Variety is the spice of life. Someone who’s life revolves around one thing gets boring.
  4. Lazy - I’m not here to make your life for you. You have to go out and do shit for yourself. I’m a pretty independent person and you should be, too.
  5. Clinginess - It doesn’t matter how much I love you (note to Nicki - I do a lot!) I am, like I said, and independent person, and I need alone time and I need time with my other friends. Nagging me about that or trying to guilt me for it is never a good thing to do.
  6. Unadventurous - Seriously, just about anything you could propose I’d be up for doing. I might think it sounds like the lamest thing ever but if it’s what you’re into, I’ll give it a shot and go see some crappy movie or concert with you. People who shoot down ideas just because they don’t want to try are lame.
  7. Closed minded - Always be open to new ideas and ready to accept new arguments. People who don’t even want to debate their beliefs are just blind followers.
  8. Socialite - Ok, I want you to have a life of your own and to have friends that you go out with and have fun without me, but I don’t want someone who’s out partying every night or has more friends than I can keep track of.
  9. Unforgiving - Let the past be the past. People grow and there’s no need to bring up every little past shortfalling and mistake whenever any argument comes up.
